ModelBeat vs LiteLLM: a hosted LLM gateway against a self-hosted one

ModelBeat and LiteLLM are both LLM gateways: one OpenAI-compatible endpoint in front of many models, with fallbacks and per-request cost tracking. The difference is who runs it. LiteLLM is an open-source proxy you deploy and operate yourself. ModelBeat is a managed gateway you point a base URL at, with on-premises deployment available under licence.

The short answer

If you want to run the gateway yourself and already have the team to do it, LiteLLM is a mature open-source choice. If you want a managed endpoint that scores each request before it runs, with a vetted model set and an append-only audit log, and no proxy to operate, that is what ModelBeat is for.
